How do you remove the net cross bar?

I am trying to remove the crossbar but when I remove the two knobs the bar is still attached to the slide in the back. Do I have to remove all the tiedowns from the slides to get the crossbar out? Suggestions?

Chuck

It slides out of the tracks towards the front of the truck. There is a plastic closeout clip in the end of each of the tracks that should just pop right out.

Easier way!

When you have removed the two knobs from the threaded plates in the side track, tilt the entire bar down so the plane of the bar is vertical instead of horizontal, and the "peg" at the front of the bar will be turned in such a way that you can slide it out of the track without removing the plastic end caps on the track.
