Just lowering the rear will give you a slightly more positive caster, which is better for rough roads (higher on one side than the other or just uneven) and tends to lead the vehicle in a straighter line. It makes it a little harder to turn( very little)

I should add that if you ever rode a motorcycle, the longer the front rake(angle of degree of the front forks) the easier it goes straight, but harder in the turns to hold it in a lean angle. This won't be felt in the steering wheel on the SSR though. I say drop that rear, and run like hell.
I guess you got all four wheels if you now looking at springs, huh ? or are you buying one spring at a time ?

Nah, I going big and bad this time. I going to buy the springs two at a time. Tyger's got a full set for sale but i can't go that big, I'd lose my identity.

I just got done replacing the rear springs with the EIbach springs. I have to say for me, Just the little difference from the original springs, The lower rear end look Is great, And all I plan on doing for lowering the SSR. Changing the springs was a thirty minute job.

I had the front and rear end alignment done, they were out a little but better check the alignment than to wear out the front tires. Better safe than sorry.

I guess Im missing something here, I do not understand by lowering the rear end a Inch and a half, That It would throw the front end out of alignment, But then, Theres alot of things Im missing????

If you draw a vertical line through the upper and lower ball joints, that's your 'caster'. If you move the back end up or down, the 'caster' changes.

Thanks for the Input Bruce. So are you saying without the three way alignment that the height change would put the front out of alignment and wear the tire tread, On one side or the other. I have no problem getting a alignment If that Is what should be done.

I can see how it affects caster, that's easy. Front end alignment is an interaction of the three adjustments, and they tell me if one changes it affects the other two. I don't really understand why that happens, but I'm not going to argue with the pro... especially when I have to trust him with my alignment.
