Unhappy How to find an excellent "service" dealer/mechanic

I am asking this to my fellow fanatics, since I think we are a pretty savvy bunch and care for our vehicles more so than just taking our R's into any old place. I am coming up on a year of ownership, and need to plan on "winterizing" the R for it's long sit in my garage. I need to have the oil changed and any other cursory items looked at. Mileage is a low 12K, and it has only been driven about 700 miles by me (second owner).

What I need is advice on where to look to bring it for service, and what you all think I should have done, compared to what the dealership service department will try to make me do (for their financial gain!). There are several mechanics in my area that are all "certified" with various credentials, and one shop that specializes in Chevrolet's. I also have a huge dealership group (Diamond Chevrolet of Worcester, Massachusetts) that has a very large service department. I know nothing about their reputation.

I guess what I am asking, is how the heck do I determine where to bring my R so I will feel comfortable that they know how to work on it (after all, it isn't your average vehicle, so i am a little nervous.) Anyone in my area have any knowledge or anyone's advice on how/where to look will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks all!
