How to take off headrest hoops?

HELP

Is there a secret to removing the satin seat headrest hoops?

I have tried several times by pulling straight up. Plus, I have tried rubber gloves, and rubber jar openers to get better grip. No luck, they do NOT budge.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

It's been posted a couple of times - could try a search. It sounds like you are doing the right things though.

Here is a few pics
First one- BE CAREFUL of the 4 tabs that go straight down. You have to lift/slide straight up !

2nd- undrside at the top

Use your rubber grippers and get it up about a 1/8 - 1/4 inch and stick a flat plastic spatula underneath it and use it as a lever to pull STRAIGHT UP. I used a Bondo blade. Just go slowly, all that it needs to go is far enough up to disengage that clip.

I used to live in San Luis Obispo and have had lunch at the Madonna Inn hundreds of times as a Rotary member and in general. Did you tour all the facilities?
