How in the world can a new Oxygen Sensor do that?

I put in some new O2 sensors today. I got the Bosch 15000 for the front and the Bosch 15553 for the rear. These are the Bosch O2 sensors for the 2005 LS2 Corvette.

The rears were a perfect swap and fit. However, on the front the wire harness was different. So, I had to take the wire harness off the old ones and put them on the new ones to get them to plug in correctly.

Ever since the change, my SSR flat-out hauls butt.

If I turn off the traction control, it rips a chirp going into second gear. If I leave the traction control on, it rips into second gear so hard it actually activates the traction control.

How can just changing the O2 sensors do that?

Matt

I was just about to ask the same question! Did you replace them because they were bad?

The C6 Oxygen Sensors are alot more sensitive and have likely cleaned the AFR up a bit. You were probably running rich from the old sensors.

Matt: A sueprcharged SSR is SUPPOSED to exhibit that traction-breaking behavior. You were "missing" part of what you paid for before the sensor change.
