If the drive train is standard GM, why is it taking so long to get a clutch?

I thought most of the SSR drive train was standard GM parts. If that's so, why the problems getting a clutch? Was the clutch and transmission made specifically for the SSR?

Not that I know of. I thought it shared the clutch and transmission with the CTS-V (just with different ratios).
