Smile Inside door handle

I joined the club of the broken inside door handle and researched all the info in this forum. I thought the price to fix it a little steep, so off to the local ACE hardware store. I bought a couple of "L" brackets, and couple of flat head machine screws and nuts. Then back home for a couple of hours of fun. I fabricated two metal pivot brackets for the handle and secured to the plastic backing. A little effort to align the hinge pin through the old bracket, new metal bracket, through the handle spring and out the other side, securing with the E clip. Snapped all back together and wow - a working inside door handle again. Total price about $10.00, half of which was a little lock tite _ didn't want to have to do it all over again. Beer Thirty!

Sorry I didn't take pics - I'll try to reconstruct and post a better description. And a day later, handle still works.
