I want to change that stupid bar hood support, better discription, limp noodle, to the 05/06 sturts. I have found the sturts from a dealer, $63.25 ea, but what else do I need for install.
The dealer/parts, didn't know.
Help me out with some addition info, thanks gang.

The problem that hasn't been mentioned is that you can't just take the '05-'06 struts and attach them to an '03-'04 hood without other hardware, because, I believe, the '05-'06's had part of the strut bracket connectors built into the hood. (I have a problem remembering things, but I think I'm close to right here )
The LST kit would include the hardware needed to attach to the '03-'04 hoods. The also have struts for the bed cover, if you are unhappy with the way that it opens currently.

Thanks, that what I need to know. There has to more than just the struts but I have not found out where I can get a complete kit, or at least some part numbers that I can use.

I have contacted Steve at LST Tech about a kit. I am waiting for his responce. I hope it is the COMPLETE kit. Stuts alone will not do the job.

Its the best $200 you will ever spend! Ordered and installed the LST struts last month.
I was always going to keep my 03 pretty much stock, but I finally came to the conclusion the "poop" rod had to go!
My struts from Steve at LS Technologies is the BEST mod I have made so far for comfort and convenince and just plain peace of mind. I also added the rear struts and that too is great. I can't say enough about how good these kits are and Steve is the greatest to deal with. You won' t go wrong!!!grimmye

So.... Are the hood struts supposed to mearly support the hood or are they supposed to "pop" it up alittle? Mine mearly supports it once I have lifted it.

With LS struts, you give the hood about a 4 - 6 inch lift then it will pop up easly. LS
LST (Steve) installed them on our 04 at Springfield.
Ours lifts the hood up from the lowered position.
They work great and look equally good.
We (03s & 04s) needed this modification. The old prop rod hit the trash can in Springfield.
