Installing Mike's Pusher

Greeting to Mike of Az. and all the rest of you 'pusher installers"! Received mine today and have it installed. All went well but tight quarters. I'm down to the last connection and stuck. Directions say to "mate the single pin connector to the harness"! I have the single green wire connector but can't find where to stick it!!!! Can you help? Also, "Installl the break In connector set to fan connector". Why break In. Are not the connections permenant. Easiest part of the whole job was pushing the golf tee through the radiator fins. Perfect fit. Mike, your aluminum tape has lost it's stickem. Heading for the sack, hope to find answers in the morning. Auf Wiedersehn from Ole Scheide.

The single green wire connection from the "Break-in connector set" has a mating connection to the harness at the fuse holder.

The connections are purposely not permanent so that you can go back to original configuration, if you ever wanted to. I have a thing about modifying stuff without splicing wires....

Not the first time I've lost my stick-em.... Do I need to send some more tape????

Call me on my cell if you have any issues....

Regards,

Mike

Thanks Dwight

But I'm far from perfect. I have a horrible time keeping my raw materials on hand and can never seem to keep "stock" of much on the shelf. I also know that I am NOT able to do "just-in-time" manufacturing. I think I'll coin a new phrase and call it "almost-too-late" supply chain.

Sheide is probably cursing at me for the tight quarters on the fan installation. There is not much room, and it is compounded when you don't have a lift to get the fan in from below. I'd rather be there, doing a fan install and drinking a beer than here in Phoenix working...

See ya soon,

Mike

Sorry I still don't get it. I have the fuse with green single connector in the same harness. I can't find where to plug this single connector in. Still looking! I have read and re-read your good detailed directions but guess I'm from Missouri, ya gotta show me. No need to send new stickem tape. Did I hear Phoenix!!!! Hot, hot, hot. Advise again.

If I'm looking correctly at my fan installation, there should be the single green connector coming out of the fuse holder that mates up with a single green wire that comes out of the "break-in" connector [main (rear) puller fan (green wire also)].

Shiftz33: Thanks for the get back. I have a 'pusher' fan don't know if that makes a difference. I have the same single green connector along with the fuses but I sure can't locate any single connector to plug into. Mike's directions are good but I just can't find location on my 'R'. Thanks

Mike in Az. So I spent the afternoon checking and rechecking. Single wire (green) plug in still unfound. Tonight I reinstalled everything except batt. cable. Unless your or others tell me not, I'm going to install batt. cable in the morning and drive . to football game. My OEM fan should work as before, right???? Then we will continue our search for final connection. How does that sound. Just don't want to overheat or damage anything. Did you receive my pictures? Scheide

The 'pusher' fan has three wire plug that goes in-line with the main puller fan's connection. There is a single green wire that comes out of that in-line connector from the pusher fan that then goes to the wire that lead to the fuse with a single green wire.

Picture one is of the pusher fan in-line connector inserted into the rear puller fan's wiring harness. You should see a green wire come out of that connector.

Picture two is the destination for the green wire which is another green wire that is part of the pusher fan's fuse circuit. The larger capped item in the picture is the pusher fan fuse (with the cover on). The green wire identified in picture one, is the same wire you see on the right side of picture two. It connects to another green wire which goes into another wire cable on the top/left of picture two. I've pulled the wire up from the side of the engine compartment, in picture two, to take this picture.

I hope that helps.

Scheide - I'll call you in the morning - or -you can call me in the morning.... anytime after 6am MST is OK.

Mikey....

Mike in Az. & Shiftz33: Guess what! I didn't receive the "break in" connector therefore no green mating connector. Boy does that solve a lot of questions. I didn't want all you guys to think I was totally stupid. Been under a lot of hoods in my day. When directions said to reconnect fan wiring harness, step 12 I wondered why I disconnected in the first place. I must have missed the part about install the break in connector! So, Mike if you could get the missing connector headed my way SAP would be appreciated. I'll update after receiving and installing. Heading for Ann Arbor to get my Michigan Wolverines straighten out! When you send my pusher you could just take a ride up to the O.C. and I'll have a case of COLD!!!!!!!!!!!! Corona awaiting for the install. I read through the directions and am still scratching my head. May wait until I can take into dealer and have them install.

larry l: Don't get discouraged by all my questions it's really not that bad. Very good directions, just take your time, have a radio and beer close by. An of course it helps with all connectors available. Mike is good guy, sticks by his word. Scheide

Do you think it would help if under the "Parts in the Kit:, # 2 wiring harness was more detail if more then one harness was in the kit?

I wouldn't know.... just asking and increasing my post count.
