I have been running 4:56 gears in my six speed for nearly two years. I lost 2mpg and gained massively in the fun factor. I used to get 21mpg overall, now I get 19. My opinion, this is the best gear ratio for the truck.

no way can you increase MPG with the 4.56 gears. i think REBEL forgot to convert canada's liters to gallons. he probably gets 22 MPL (liter)

I wish you were right about that. 22 miles/litre is good for 88 miles per gallon.

Tony It is O.K. not to believe me,
If we meet at an event again, we can go for a ride if you like. One of us can buy the other a pop after the ride.
I'm very happy with my mileage.
That was with 4:56 gears and a tune on 92 octaine.
1 U.S. Gallon = 0.833 of a Imperial Gallon.

But this should not matter as I'm going by the DIC on the dash, cruise set on 70 mph,on level road.

Cheers

I`ve had 4.56 gears in Sandee`s 06 for several mos now, along with the 2nd gear servo and a PCMforless.com tune. Funny, the best mileage I`ve seen is 15.9, but that`s with Sandee doing 110 on the Turnpike. She sez the gears ruin her doo, cause she hasn`t learned to grin without getting spit in both ears
