Jump Starting Terminal

In the red box in the engine bay. Could that be used to connect a 12volt air compressor if needed? I have a QuickAirII compressor I would like to keep in the Cargo and have for portable use . It connects with battery clamps.
Or I might mount and hard wire it in the engine bay. Thanks

You could cut the wires and rewire it to an auxillary port plug (ie. cigarette lighter plug).........maybe.....

Yes, the red junction box on the right side inner fender is were you jump from and it would be a good location to use for a power source

Just remember to Clamp on quickly as possible without causing arks. Electronic devices down stream do not like spikes, This area of the red box is assuming you have a dead battery. It will work, just do it quick and firm. Electronics like it better that way.

OK thanks. The compressor does have an off/on switch.
I follow you about the spikes.

Why would you carry a compressor? My manual is in the garage, but does the SSR come with a compressed can of air in case of a flat?

I like the idea of the compressor and looked up the seller. They are reasonable.

The SSR comes with a compressor that plugs into the aux. outlets. It does not pump very fast (I have had to use it). The compressor is located behind the driver's seat.

Exactly. The onboard SSR compressor is a slow mover. Good for an emergency only. The QuickAir is a fast / quality pump. It will accessible. I help friends & neighbors out if they need air on the spot.
