Houtex,
What is your "seat of the pants" telling you after the install?

Did the same

A few weeks ago. Feel the difference a little bit out at around 3000 to 3500 RPM range and above.

In the last month or so, I've put in true duals, XPipe, and Flowmaster 50's - that was a definite improvement, but still had a little lag when it was gasping for air. I'd say that's 99% gone now - response is really good. My butt dyno says the piping gave me about 15 - 20 horse and the K&N kit about another 8 - 10 horse.

Thanks Houtex. We have been eager to hear from you. Thanks for sharing the results.

Was the install rather simple?

How about the quality of the kit?

Is the metallic shroud rigid and does it vibrate any?

Hopefully it is not super thin sheet metal that will vibrate apart over time.

Once I got some help - it was pretty easy. I got hung up trying to disconnect the Mass Air Sensor - it's a two step disconnect - I didn't want to break it. Once Melodymaker and HOT-SSR showed me how - the rest went pretty smoothly. Not a bad way to spend the afternoon - three shade tree SSR gearheads in the Texas April sunshine.

Quality of the kit excellent. The metallic shroud is pretty stout - will keep checking to see if it vibrates loose.
