I do know about the technical differences between the two tires, and am aware that with the KDW-2, I would have to go a little big in the rear tires, but I was wondering if any has had experience in comparing the two. Reading all the reviews both seemed to be well liked, but I noticed a lot of complaints about road noise with the KDW-2 . Has anyone noticed this. I drove an SSR with the newer tread design the other day (thank you Big Blue OX) and was very impressed with those as far as response and handling, but it was on back roads , so didnt really get to listen at highway speeds and surfaces. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

KDW2 Too Loud?
Not to my ears. There is an increase in wind noise around the upper windshield. I surmise this is due to either faster speeds and/or quieter tires (than Good Years). The larger contact design of the tread on KDW2s feels much more planted, wider, faster, and smoother. Muc had been said about KDW2s being louder than some other manufacture's OE Bridgestones, which are max-summer, sticky, silent, and don't fit our SSRs. Oh well.
One KDW owner who drove my SSR loved the look, but we couldn't really compare road noice. His ride is only 2700#!
