We just received pictures and pricing for the new Kooks SSR long tube headers!

These headers will be available in 1 3/4" and 1 7/8". 1 7/8" are pictured -

WHEN I SPOKE TO SSR FANATIC MEMBER JIM MACALUSO HE DIDN'T MENTION THEM REMOVING THE ENGINE BUT YOU CAN CALL KOOKS DIRECTLY AND THEY WILL TELL YOU COST AND ANY TECHNICAL INFO YOU NEED... HERES THE TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR KOOKS

You dont have to pull the engine for the headers. You only need to pull the starter and drop the transmission crossmember so you can move the tailshaft left and right. It is tight but it works without pulling the engine. That is a real high price for the install of the MagnaCharger also.

The above is a reply to my question about a local installer giving me a price for installing the MagnaCharger of $1600 to $2K and the fact that the engine would have to be pulled to get the headers in.

Nope, not need to pull the engine. They can be installed with that in the truck. We should have pricing and part numbers tomorrow. Kooks was able to get us these pictures before both of us closed today.

6301 1 7/8"x3" Kooks SSR headers with required 02 extension kit $909.99

6302-CC 3"x3" Stainless Steel catted connection pipes $549.99
6030-OC 3"x3" Stainless Steel offroad connection pipes $274.99

These headers can be Jet Hot coated for an additional $249.99

They headers were built on an automatic. They have a 6 speed truck going in next week.

5.3 or LS2?

A member here is going over to have them installed on his LS2 MagnaCharged SSR any day now. I cannt wait to hear how the final product turns out.

These headers will bolt up to the LS1 and LS2 motors. I found out that Kooks has completed one set for the SSR. They are working on a production run now so those headers should be ready to ship in about 2-3 weeks. Orders will be shipping out in the order that they come into us.

THE ENGINE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE REMOVED ......THEY FIT WITHOUT TAKING THE ENGINE OUT...I HOPE THIS HELPS.....
