LED Problem

Hey Guys, I am going to need someone a whole lot smarter than me (which isn't hard) to figure this one out.
I have the Vled's Red 92 in the rear, 194 Leds on all sides and 7443 leds in the front. I have a LM487 flasher installed. Everything works perfectly until I turn the lights on then I have no turn signals.
I mean the turn signals are just fine until I turn either the parking or headlights on then the turn signals do not work at all.
When I put the stock 7443's back in everything works normally.
The guy at Vleds said I needed resistors. If that is so why do they work perfectly until I turn the lights on?
Does anyone have any ideas?

It seems when others have problems with LEDs, it points at the LM487 and it having a problem...might want to replace it and see if that works.

Hopefully someone with firsthand experience will chime in here.

I agree, I have heard of several LM487 Modules that were bad.

Turn signals are wired to the module, the headlights are not.

I agree with the other guys on this one . . .

Although I only have the V-Leds Tail / Brake Lights, my first LM487 was DOA. When I took it back to the local NAPA Shop, the representative told me they had no way to check their condition and it is not uncommon for them to fail, so he just replaced it.

About three years later, KNOCK ON WOOD, everything is still working just fine.

Your situation is a little different but it is definitely worth a shot.

GOOD LUCK!

On my 05 SSR, I put the V-LED Taillight bulbs In and I also wired a resistor to each taillight. The resistors are wired In correcty. When I put the stock flasher In, The driver side taillight flashed really fast. The passenger side taillight worked correctly. I took the stock flasher out and put the LM-487 flasher In and everything works and blinks correctly. I have also bought another LM-487 flasher as a spare. I also bought another set of the V-LED bulbs. You never know when one or the other goes bad, And It Is a good Idea to have spares when you need them, Sooner or later???????????

Have you tried turning the lamp over in the socket. They are polarity sensitive. I had a similar issue when I first got mine but do not remmeber the exact details but when i turned the lamp over it was solved.
