Check the tread dated 05-06-2004, 10:21 AM SSR Slammed Cali Style by Quikssr.
He lowered his and tells all.. he also installed a Magna-Flow Cat Back exhaust system that runs around 8 bills and you could install yourself.

lowering springs

I have the Ground Force lowering springs in my SSR. They lower the front about 1" and the rear about 2" and brings the SSR to basicly level. I think it rides better and no longer has all the body roll in the turns.

Hello SSRrs:

We're building an SSR for G.M. and our client Tractech (Detroit Locker) for the SEMA Show. To get SSR down to where it belongs, you need to prepare for a lot of inner fender panel work, beg for a set of So Cal Speed shop fabricated A-Arms, and reverse the ball joints top-to-bottom.

Lowering springs are OK, but don't take it down enough for us.

Fabricated A-Arms are not an insurance company favorite, so I doubt if So Cal will offer these to the public, but you never know.

Look for our aftermarket accessory line including 2" headers, body pieces, exhaust headers (2") and more from Axiom Design Solutions in December.

Lowering my SSR

I also installed springs from Ground Force and as posted earlier it is not low enough. I was in contact with SoCal folks and they can not give me a firm date on when their "lowering kit" would be available to the public.
