Maybe, Just maybe!

I was out in the garage this morning applying a coat of “Rejex”(soil barrier/anti-stain protectant) that I had just ordered. RejeX: Nothing Sticks but the Shine! Better than any wax. GREAT product thanks for the tip Sharptoys! Anyway as I was applying the product to the hood near the wipers I noticed that as I applied circular pressure to the hood it would make the same “rattling noise” that a lot of us have been hearing coming from the front windshield pillar area. I was also able to duplicate this noise as I gently lifted the hood frame up and down on the passenger’s side near the wipers. I opened the hood and began pressing on this and that and did not get any noise. I applied 303 protectant to the two side sponge type strips, one on each side of the hood near the hinges and all along the rubber sealer that runs the length of the hood. Next I applied garage door bearing lubricant to the hinge points where the hood opens & closes. Finally I placed a round piece of Velcro (soft side) to the top of the two rubber bumpers near the hinges, one on each side. Closed the hood, tried the lifting and circular pressure on the hood and the noise was gone. Took it for a spin and still no noise. Maybe, just maybe!
