Need failed BACK UP Lights ideas

I have been unable to get my backup light problem solved. I have used the “Search” feature and read everything I could locate about backup lights but have not been able to find a solution. Cash suggested I might get better results if I began a new thread addressing my own problem rather than tagging onto another persons thread.

Problem
Backup lights not working.
Tail lights, signals etc all functioning fine.

Done to date
Checked fuse #19 under hood – It is fine. All other fuses are clean & tight as well.
Voltmeter test on bulb sockets – No power in sockets (Checked when running & in reverse)
Bulbs have been checked and are okay
I tried providing a new ground – Still no power to the sockets (thank you CJ for the idea)
I have tested the perimeter lighting doing the key fob test (as shiftz33 suggested in another thread). All other lights blinked on but the backups did not work.....I have fed 12v backwards from the 6 pin connector which is mounted on TOP of the drivers side frame rail, above the hitch & that made the Back-Ups come on just for a test. I have tested under the hood @ firewall on drivers side & there is 12v in that connector when in reverse...Sooo before I "Go to THE WATERFALL" does anybody have more ideas please ? ? Its cold out here (23 F) Thanks,

I would appreciate very much any suggestions anyone might have to help solve this issue. . Tom cell (262) 613.2527

Check at the transmission for a bad backup light sensor. Check for power at the back up lite pigtails when in reverse and foot on brake.

Thanks Mr T I have tested the pig-tails & sockets in reverse with engine running, will now try light sensor, have you been able to access with truck sitting on ground ? or is a lift needed to reach ? thanks, TM....Menzel Crane & Transport

Not much room to Tango under there. Use a lift and a second person.

Thank you Mr T, maybe I should procure a back-up light sensor ahead of finding a lift ? I used to deliver fuel in Mt.Dora during 1970s ... TM
