Oil Change oooopps!!!
The wife and I took the SSR over to have the oil changed today. Since she had been to this dealer before, she told them just the oil change and check the air in the tires.
We walked around the lot for a while and took an Acadia out for aa test drive. She liked it, but we need to get the housiing thing straightened out first.
When the oil change was done. I went to pay for it and the price didn't seem right. I asked if they had indeed put Mobile 1 synthetic in the truck. He was nice and went back to check with the tech. Nope. We had a short discussion about what oils should be used in the truck and why and he said they would pull it right back in and drain it to replace it with the correct Mobile 1.
Although they did this nicely, it wasn't very timely. Took them 3 and a half hours to change the oil.
Not real keen on this dealership so far.
At least back home they know what I need and require as soon as I drive in the service area. I just tell them the milage and away it goes for about half an hour. Then back up front and out the door.
Maybe I just need to train these guys better.

! ! ! ! ! !
We had a great dealership here and GM shut them down last October ,you could drop your car off and and know it would be done right and they would treat it like like it was their own car . Nearest dealership now 17 miles away.

As far as the milk I live beside a dairy farm so no problem with dairy products .

That's why they are out of business. They took their time. Did things right. Appreciated their customers.
That is not acceptable today. Just do...don't read. Rush the rush job you are rushing so you can rush the next rush job. Do some volume. Bring in the numbers. Hire entry level. Incompetent management....and the beat goes on.
At least they didn't do a front to rear rotation on your tires.
I had some goof in the service department do the same thing with the STS a few years back in Saskatoon some 150 miles away.
The rears tires rub rather firmly on the front struts it you are stupid enough to put them there and somehow not notice that they will not move once you tighten the nuts.
If someone other than myself had picked the car up they would have
burned through the sidewalls in short order. Numbskulls I tell ya
The Chevy dealers down here seem overly concerned with how I will rank them when I get the customer survey later by mail and I always get a call afterwards asking about my experience. I have been offered a free tank of gas if I will return the survey. They make it sound like anything less than giving them the top rating would mean failure.
When I go in for an oil change, I tell them what I want ... not just an "oil change please". I tell them the full ten yards worth of my mind and make sure they've got it written down before I have to sign off anything.

Since I run an occasional autocross which does a job on the outside of the front tires, I had a local dealership switch to front tires to the opposite rims. When I went to pick them up, the worker had taken the tires off and put them back on the same rims. Huh?
I'm very disappointed that the Goodrich g-force KDW's are not symmetrical anymore - and they don't come in the right sizes anymore either.

I supply my own synthetic oil when I take my vehicles in for an oil change.
I tell the service manager that I am supplying it and get it put on the work order.
When I get out of my vehicle I put the oil jug on the drivers seat.
