Painting Satin Running Boards?

Has anyone out there painted the satin running boards? I am switching to Chrome exterior and Interior. Smokin Asphalt truck has Satin running boards.
That would not look good. Soo I am thinking having them painted body color.

Has anyone painted them, any problems?

Yes we have painted them and yes they do look good. Just heat and pull off the top pad. Paint then put two sided tape back on the pad reinstall.

Yes the satin looked terible to me,too phony, painted two weeks after we bought her!
never waxed the boards, once cleared they shine like the top of Llogers head
in the Canadian moonlite! You'll love them color coordinated to the truck!

Thanks, Hal. I had mine painted also (the running boards, not my head). Like they say, God only made a few perfect heads.............the rest He covered with hair................

Running Boards.

I guess my head is only partially "perfect". I planned to paint the boards, but now I am much more comfortable with my decision.

Thank you everyone that responded.

Jack...You saw the blue boards on Silver Britches when you were here in March. As the Nike folks say....JUST DO IT.

Anyone with a pix of their Black Boards want to post one for Jack.

P/P

Peace

Thank You!

Thank you Rebel for showing me what they will look like. "HIS 1" is going in the paint shop Monday morning.

Ed, thank you. I saw the running boards, but I thought they were OEM, it did not occur to me that they were painted silvers. That tells me what I need to know!
