Thanks to all of you for your quick replies! I'm usually online only once or twice a month, I'd rather be driving(or cleaning,or in this case removing door panels).
The problem with our right door lock solenoid is intermittent.
It locks normally when activated automatically either by speed or when manually activated by the switch on the console or fob.
In this condition the solenoid won't allow the door to be opened after stopping, even when the trans. is placed in park (engine operating or turned off).
I purchased a replacement solenoid but got to thinking that's probably not the problem.
I don't think the solenoid is receiving the message from the ECU to allow the lock to be opened from the door or fob switches.
Help Please!
My wife is tired of having to roll the window down and unlock the door lock from the outside every time she wants to get out.
Can you fellows help me?
This forum was a wealth of information when our cooling fan went lame.
The new fan I got from the guy here that puts them together is working great!

I'm confused (ok, that's not unusual ). You said she has to reach out because the door won't unlock. Why not just pull up on the button on the door if it won't unlock electrically? Do you mean it won't unlatch with the inside handle?

You may want to check wiring harness on drivers side, behind kick panel. Easy to remove, just take care getting it around hood release.
I found bad harness in Charlotte during Tech Day two years back. Fanatic having problems with his windows and door locks, sometimes they would work, sometimes not. Bad wire connection.
Repaired the wire connection and all was well.
Just a suggestion.
Other area to look in under the waterfall. Easy to remove, five clips, put roof down, remove waterfall, middle, above console, there is a module for remote and other operations. See if a bad connector there, it has happened before. Clean and reset all your wire connections while you have it off.

Good Call! That is probably the problem! The bad latch assembly, almost all the SSR's have had those replaced.

Yes, it won't unlatch using the inside handle (even though the door is unlocked at the top switch).
I think I have determined the problem is a broken latch from having read all the helpful information provided here.
Ah, thanks. It's easier to solve a problem when we're all on the same page, so I have to find out if it's just me gone astray.
You lucked out as the door handle problem, and fix, are well documented.
