I have a 2005 SSR and have managed to break the lower radiator support piece twice. It is made of molded plastic and is $300+ to purchase. Is there something available for replacement that is more durable such as steel or aluminum?

Welcome to the family, Dave. Twice? Yipes! I know it's easy to break but a shame you didn't come here sooner, we could have saved you a lot of money.

WELCOME, David . . . from Southern Arizona.
As others have already posted, Mike's Radiator Support is the best way to go and, while you're at it, you may want to consider the Front Frame Stiffening Plate . . . the best Bang For The Buck for handling and ride improvement!
I got one from Mike a couple of weeks ago and installed it in about 10 minutes. It is certianly worth every cent. I have another SSR friend who hit a cardboard box and took out the plastic one... it is nice to know that won't happen to me.
I also installed Mike's fan and it really made a huge difference and gives me even greater comfort knowing I won't have overheating issues.

1. Welcome to the Fanatics!
2. Mikey and I were adding an aux fan to my SSR in his garage when he showed me his radiator support. I held it up to the plastic OEM part and immediately bought it. All SE products are over engineered so you get instant peace of mind.

If you are near Hendersonville, NC you can have the one in my garage.
Not being close to Hendersonville, NC, what would you charge for the unit?
I dont know. How much does your least expensive SSR ink pen cost, just kidding? Its yours for the cost of shipping and handling from a near by UPS retail to you. Would you want it boxed up or just shipped as is?
