Rear Sill Plate Rubber

First, let me apologize for the dirt, after all it is just under the sill plate.

Can anyone help me with the part number for this rubber seal? My dealer has tried several times, even sent GM a picture, (major points for effort). They either get the rubber seal for the tailgate or the two short seals at each end of the sill plate. I'm thinking it may be included with the rear sill plate.

I have a PM to RSSRTOY, but if anyone else can help it will be appreciated.

I'm thinking if I replace the rubber seal, that dirt won't get in there anymore.

Use it or lose it the way I look at it. I hope you find the rubber seal you need. I have been looking for a part number for a special conditioner for the rubber seals too but no luck.

I think what you are after is Dupont Krytox. Mark (RSSRTOY) will know what you are after as the GM part, or you can buy it from automotive suppliers. It is about the same price as gold.

Thanks Mark. You know I would buy it from you, but my dealer is replacing this under warranty. Can't beat that price!

I was looking like a genius when I went to my dealer, but it didn't last long. Apparently 15133742 is the part number they ordered and you only get the short rubber seal, (about 2") that goes from the sill plate to the side of the bed.

They showed me the parts diagram, which shows it as one piece, but there are actually three pieces if you look at my picture in the first post. Do you think the middle seal comes with the sill plate? My dealer is willing to order it to find out, but I thought you might know.

Dupont Krytox GPL-205. The tube I have in front of me came from Eckler's in Florida. The label has two numbers, A2524, and A49-2-03. About $50 for 2 oz.
