Question Removing White Polish Residue

Hey, gang -

I was a little too aggressive with my wax job on wife's car and ended up with that white residue on some of the hard plastic and the gaskets around the doors.

Does anyone know any magic tricks for getting this stuff off?

Thanks,

Knucklehead

Get some Turtle wax "ICE" liquid. It's about $17 a bottle but will do about 15 complete car polish jobs. Easy on, easy off. Put it on the white wax on the plastic and rubber. It will be gone and repeated coats will give you a glass like finish. Also after each coat let bake in the hot sun then rebuff.

Depending on the surface of that hard plastic, WD40 and a very soft brush (an old thooth brush) will remove that residue wax.

Meguiar's makes a product>>

Hello: Most of the items will make it look good until you wash the surface, the
white wax look returns after a few washes! Meguiars makes a wax remover for this situation, works pretty good, last time I bought a plastic bottle it was $10.00. I would check with any auto parts supply store that carries Meguiar's products, they should carry it!(Wax remover)

You can also switch to a non-residue product. C-MagicWax.Com - Engineered to Shine Developed and owned by Corvette enthusiasts
Also for very easy 'on and off', RejeX®: So Slick, Bugs Can't Stick! Rejex has a higher refractive index than waxes and produces richer , deeper looking colors. Bugs never stick
