Roof Tool Pictures
Several have asked "What does the Roof Tool Look Like"??
Here it is:
Dicktator
1. This is the tool, kept in your glove box.
2. It has special design to fit in roof mechanism located above the rear view mirror.
3. Bar slides on handle. NOTE: The grove on the bar, is for the cables located behind the drivers/passenger seats. Cables are colored RED and Green, they are for the release of the roof cylinders. Slide bar on cable to grove, pull on cable to release hydraulic cylinder. You need to be able to bench press 400 lbs!
4. Plastic cover above rear view mirror, turn, remove, this is the location of the lock release for the roof.

Negative on the Torx bit - it's six toothed whereas the roof tool is seven toothed.

Ditto on this one. I don't have one either. Might be able to get one through Mark at his dealership. I will check with him.

How about.....
We have a "Get-to-know-your-SSR" clinic at the next large gatherings?
I'm sure (including me) that there's many things a lot of us don't know about our trucks.
For instance, on the way to Flagstaff the battery on my key fob remote died and I had never used the push button release for the tonneau cover on my bed.
Perhaps we can start a list of things that people would be interested in learning, like:
How to upper or lower the top manually.
How does the little light on the mirror work.
Whats in the box behind my drivers seat.
How to safely raise and lower the hood without breaking anything.
I'm sure there are more things to cover.
