Service airbag message

I just replaced my steering wheel with the new chrome one. All went well but when I reconnected the battery my DIC displays the "Service Airbag" message. How do I clear this message and why did it set it? I reinstalled the same airbag. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, gipper

Did you remove the fuse before removing the airbag?
You might be able to reset it by undoing the battery cable for 1 min .
If this dosenot work you need a tech2 tool to read and reset the light.
