Smile Spare tire cover

For those of use that choose to carry our spare tire in the bed, has anyone seen or checked into a tire cover? Something like you would see on the back of a Jeep. Also it would be great to be able to get the SS R logo on it. Just something to dress up what has become the most important item to have on board.

I purchased two (27-29 inch size, one for each side) from Lift Kits, Winches, Tires, & Wheels by 4 Wheel Parts for about 16 bucks each. They fit like a glove and definitely look better than a nekkid tire in the bed.

The SSR Logo would look great but not necessary.

spare tire cover

I had one made in East Mesa by Mesa Marine upholstry to fit the Trailblazer donut spare, thats the only one that will fit under the SSR and also is a good size for inside the bed, (make sure you try a wheel on the front for brake clearance before you purchase a used wheel, if you have a flat on the rear you switch a front wheel to the rear using a large donut tire on the front only) they matched the tire cover with the black bed liner and sewed up a velcro top and two strap handles which works well to secure it to the bed by hooking to the lid hinge brackets. They charged me $80.00 which was fair for the nice job they did. I can stack 2 lawn chairs or a decent size suitcase on top of it and it has room inside the wheel for some storage and it looks good in the bed.

Good Luck

Seattle Terry

Mesa Marine is located between Power and Sossaman on East Main st
