rear stabilissr

This is a most effective product.
Not sure if he still makes them but this vendor used to make a similiar kit for the front.
Really makes the body strong and no more fog light bounce.

most cost effective mod you can make both front and back
I wasn't sure about the back until I put them on. They give you the ability to center your exhaust pipes and keep them centred. the front prevents premature cracking of the front fascia and also prevents the foglights from bouncing
don't hesitate you will not have spent better money

This is a great product. I helped design the rear kit with texster68.

His front kit is "must have" as well.

I've installed these StabiliSSR's on HELLVIS and the Bunny. They are a good product and are easy to install.

That said, I don't care for how the rear external struts mount to the lower fascia tabs in the inner wheel housing - I broke one off while fastening the strut to that point on HELLVIS. My local Chevy dealer warrantied the parts and installed and painted a new fascia.

I do not use the external rear struts for that reason.

Hi Delma Lou. I have that last front unit you posted on the front of my SSR. I am very happy with the fit and the results it provides. It also has the ability to mount a front license plate on it and that was the main reason that I purchased it. I have since taken the front plate off and the bar still provides the stability for the front bumper.

Questions for those using the BD Speed product:
1. Does the front plate come off easly without tools?
2. Can I still use my Colgan Bra?

Thanks - RRR

I have the BD unit AND the stabilissrs.

The BD unit does not, I repeat, does not prevent the jiggling of the front fascia that the stabilissrs correct.

The BD unit is for the front plate quick disconnect. It does provide some additional strength to the front fascia, but does not stop fog light bounce.

The plate can be removed with a 7/16" wrench very quickly and easily and the unit still functions.

I have both products
1. the front plate comes off easily with 2 bolts and I normally run with it off but put it on for in town events where the local police are looking for something to do
2. yes you can still run with your bra on - with the plate on - the pic on ebay is a realistic pic of the distance away from the front grill

I purchased the front and rear StabiliSSR kits a few weeks ago and installed them. I am completely satisfied with the service and support from the seller and with the product.

Although it isn't something that you or anyone else will notice that you have(until you turn on your fog lights)--it should be one of the first things that go on the SSR.

I have both front and rear and it sure beef up both bumpers, they are rock solid now. Thanks to Rich in NJ who installed them for me, I believe a must have to prevent micro cracks in the paint because of the flexing.
