SSR with TBSS RIMS

Has anyone tried the TBSS rims on their SSR yet??? I know there are a few folks here who have both the TBSS and SSR. I was wondering if they had tried swap rims and if so, how did they fit on the SSR.

They're interchangable but you will lose the rear 10" wide rims. TB's are the same 8" front and rear.

THey will fit. It's also similar to the style they had planned for the '07 MY that never happened.

Anyone know of a custom wheel that's wider? Even so, 8" aint so bad, and your choice of tires will expand dramatically by using those rims.

My $0.02 says I think that 8" rims will only allow some pretty puny looking width tires to go with our fat fenders. Also would make it a lot harder to hook up, esp with the 6L.

This guy claims to have the 8" rims widened to 10"

Says he paid $265 per wheel to widen.

I have widened steel wheels before with no issues, but have never attempted aluminum wheels...

I have a set of stock TBSS wheels that are out being widened. The rears will be 9.5 when finished as that is all I can put in there without using spacers to move them out. Once widened then they will put them on a lathe so you cant tell they were widened. When done they are going in for Chrome.

I will be running the 295/45 in the rear and 265/50 on the front when done.
