How can I get rim specification like off set, width, bolt pattern, ect. I want to see what options are out there for changing rims. I would like thin black spoke that fit just like the stock rims. HELP

To my knowledge there are no aftermarket rims that will fit any SSR. Whats even more interesting, try to find tires for it. Chev. Motor Division does not have any alternate tire sizes specified. Goodyear and Firestone are the only two manufactures and they have no plans on making front or rear tires in the near future. Whats better yet, there are no tires available anywhere at this point in time.

I spoke with GY today and they said that they plan on making a tire production run at the end of April.
There are plenty of aftermarket rims....

Once again... there are numerous tires that will work fine on the SSR, all of them superior performance to the stockers. One doesn't have to match the originals exactly, and in fact there are advangtages style and performance wise for making those changes. Three of the tires are mentioned in post number 5 by (Dutchy)of this thread and you can add firestone wide oval, and goodrich KDW 2, and Toyo's. There is really no problem.
There are also numerous rim choices. There is some excellent info on both tires and rims available to you with lots of specifics and photos if you take advantage of the search feature on the forum.

There are plenty of aftermarket rims....now if you were talking about specifically 19" front and 20" rear after market rims...then you might be correct.
No your not correct.......there are a number of companies that make the correct size 19's&20s..........Wolfie
Thats all the information that Tire Rack supplies, but they like many suppliers (and sadly Chevy dealers) don't know what they are talking about when it comes to the SSR. There are several optional tire sizes and brands for the stock wheels and several optional wheel/tire combination choices. Tire rack is listing only the OEM size. One needs to know ahead of time what works and then order them from the tire rack or other suppliers. Otherwise they will just look it up on a table and only find and reccomend OEM. The best place for information on your choices is right here on the SSR Fanatics site.
My SSR: 2005 Smokin Asphalt #14644 Purchased 3/2008 to replace my 2003 Redline #2130 purchased in 3/2006
Just bought two BF goodrich for the rear today at almost $300 a pop. You can also get them for the front if you drop the profile size from 45 to 40. I read elsewhere on here that they will work just fine.
I was forced to do this reasearch when I punctured one Monday night. Hopefully I will have them installed and ready to go by tomorrow (Thursday)
I strongly reccommend getting some sort of a spare even if you leave it at home. These tires are seldom stocked anywhere and have to be ordered. I have been without my car for two days now, lets hope the dealer gets around to putting them on tomorrow, so they can move the car into the shop to replace my serpintine tensioner.
This has been a very stressful ordeal for me, I have never not been able to take care stuff myself. So people get some sort of a spare or else your truck is stuck wherever the tow truck drops it. I thought I was smart to use roadside assistance for a free tow. But they only take you to a dealer, and unless you pay another tow truck to move it, thats where its going to sit until you can find a replacement tire.
Dont search by vehicle, enter your tire size. For the fronts, change the profile size from 45 to 40 and a lot more choices will come up.
Oh the bolt pattern is 6X127mm not sure what the ofset is.
No other chevy truck or van uses this lug pattern, Trailblazer, Ranier, Envoy and I think Isuzu Ascender only.

Also consider Continental UHP (ultra high performance)
255/50/19 @$190 ea
295/55/20 @$121 ea Tire rack prices.
These a taller than stock and really fill out the fender wells nicely. My truck is lowered slightly and ther is still no fitment problem. They are Z rated, high load capacity. They were designed for heavy weight high performance vehicles such as the Porsche Cayanne. They run quiet and smooth as glass right off the speedo past 140. So far the best I have found for my R considering performance and price. JYAHO(Just Yet Another Humble Opinion)
They also come in a lower profile if you wish, but at a higher price.

Any issues with Traction Control or anything else associated with changing tire size?
My wife drives ours most of the time, just around town.

I have the 6 speed and it doesn't have T/C, but I have not heard of any problems from the other guys that have changed rear rolling diameters and there are quite a few with automatics that have made the change. You will loose a little bit of effective rear gear ratio with the larger tire though and will have to get your speedo recalibrated thru the computer or it will read a little bit low. Not a big deal to get done. The increased traction (saftey) and performance all around with any of the previously mentioned choices is worth it imo.
Also the UHP inmy size have a load capacity 0f 2149 lbs each for the front, and 2600 each for the rear. As an additional plus with the higher wall iws that even with my truck lowered on the springs, I never scrape anything like driveway enterences, etc and if I stupidly back over a curb or something, there is less chance of rim or tire damage.

My SSR: 2006 Pacific Blue 3 Pedals, Chrome Pkg, Bernie's nerf bars & spare tire
Be careful picking tires if you live and drive in cold climates.
Some of the replacements are not recomended below 32 Deg F.
I am going with Toyo Proxes S/T on the new wheels.

I ended up going with the Continentals, I actually like the look better and the handeling is better.
Thanks for the heads-up!
My SSR: 2004, Born on 4-08-04, Smokin Asphalt, Cargo extras, running boards, Bright wheels,
Non-standard wheels
I have been interested in going to a smaller rim....say 18" all around with a tire with less footprint and more sidewall. I thought about painted (or powder coated) rims with "moon" Hub caps and a tire with a retro red stripe.
Is this possible without going full custom?
Will any Trailblazer wheels/tire combinations work on the SSR?
