IF somebody could post the fuse # under the hood you pull when you park in an unknown hotel. I remeber Downshifter showed me this but that was last year and I need to reprogram my brain.
thanks

The likelihood of an SSR thief being on this website AND carrying a spare relay is probably pretty low.
It should at least prevent a quick escape with the truck.
In theory, if a thief was brazen enough to hot wire the truck, find out it wouldn't start, then open the hood and take off the fuse box cover to check on whether a relay was in place, he's probably bold enough to put one of the other relays in that spot and take the truck away. If he does all that, he's good.
Also not new info - it's been on the website at least a couple times before.
Relay #43 controls the starter. I yank it any time the R is left to fend for itself, especially in hotel parkades, or if I have to leave it on the street while we're out to dinner or a movie. Not very trusting soul, am I?

HA!, I had to do it a couple days ago
First i would pull the fuel pump relay. If memory serves its the grey one towards the front of the vehicle, the cover will tell you.
I also pulled two more fuses that had to do with the ECU. Afterwards I gave it a try with the key and NO GO. I couldn't get the key out afterwards. Had to plug everything back in and then it let me have my key back. I can look which fuses up tomorrow if you like. When you go up to your room, take the fuses and the cover with you, that way they wont know which ones are missing without a map.
Also, take your wheel lock if you have one, and if you happen to be towing a trailer, take your trailer hitch key with you. These items do you no good if you leave them in the console where the thief will first look.
I was pulling a U-Haul which has no way to lock the trailer to the hitch ball, so I took a big heavy duty padlock and locked the chains together so they couldnt easily be removed from the hitch.

Sorry guys, I missed this last night, but I see you got the answer. And YES we do disable the SSR when in a hotel parking lot. Very easy to do and not have to worry about your baby all night.
