Smile Steering moan

Just a little tid bit took the r to the dealer had a moan when standing still and engine running . Dealer found a steering colum seal at firewall worn causing a moan . Seal # 38038 special order . So if anyone has this when turning the wheel now you know .

No more moan had the had the steering column seal put in today only took them half a day in the shop . The seal was worn from the intermediate shaft it's located at the bulkhead . HAPPY CAMPER AGAIN

How many miles when seal failed please ? Sand or Dirt any issue ? This is good to know, Thank you...T.

Hey, Chuck . . . sounds like good news to me!

Did they offer a reason for the worn seal other than age or mileage?

No answer on why it failed I have 38k on it . Just glad they found the problem .

Just heard from my service rep he said the seal dried up making the noise maybe it's the hot desert temps . Look out doophus you also live were it's hot .
