Suspension Woes

Had the car in the shop today, as had found an oil patch under the right side of the engine bay. They are not sure if it is the sump gasket, but found the area around the dipstick base so have replaced the o-ring.I sure hope that was the problem as I believe the sump gasket is a major job. Any way while under the car the mechanic found liquid around the bottom of the lh shck absorber and on the rubber boot. He advised that the unit should not leak there. Has advised that I should replace the shocks. Has anyone had any problems, as the car has only 10,000 kms. Does anyone know if you can still get genuine pasrts or should I try and source them downunder, Any help would be appreciated.I am beginning to think there is a jinx on this vehicle.vavoom

Yes when I was going to Springfield Mo. for the first rally. Woke up one morning with oil on the ground right next to the right side front tire. Took into the local Chevy dealer there they ordered the front shocks and even replaced the broken fog lights all for free. Don't even think I had 7,000 miles on it yet. ....Great service and customer satisfaction...

They treated me better then where I bought my truck did. the thank you letter I wrote them.

TOO SCOTT LAWSON, GENERAL DIRECTOR
RELIABLE CHEVROLET AND STAFF………..07/21/2007

I would like to state how awesome the service was at Reliable Chevrolet. Traveling from S. Florida to Springfield Mo.
About 1200 miles from home. I found a puddle of oil on the right side of my SSR.
I called dealership and spoke to BILL MORKE, SALES MANAGER.
He said bring in my SSR, so the service dept could inspect it.
Upon arriving everyone was so nice I felt like ELVIS, I wondered if I was on earth.

Being in the auto repair field for over 25 years, I was SHOCKED because my own dealership that I bought 3 corvettes and my 06 SSR from was never this nice.

Katie Flakus gave me 100% of her time with every phone call I made.
She called me to say parts were ordered, and they would arrive next morning, and that my R would be ready by noon that day.

Outstanding job and customer service by Katie and the total service dept.

I was a store manager for Midas auto experts for the past 10 years.
I know all to well the importance of customer service and satisfaction.

I highly commend these people at RELIABLE CHEVROLET.
They have once again made me proud to drive an AMERICAN CAR.

Thank You for a outstanding job well done
