throttle body

I have taken the throttle body off my 2004 and sent it off to be ported and polished. I noticed that there are hoses that allow the coolant fluid to pass on the underside of the throttle body. I assume that is to heat the air going through the throttle body to aid in emission problems. What would happen if you bypassed the throttle body connections and had the hoses connect to each other would it make the car run cooler or would it mess up the computer reading the emissions?

This is a popular mod, you'll see a little (maybe) performance boost, I've read 8-10 hp discussed in other forums and some say nothing. No issues unless you are in the north country and drive in a cold winter where there is a chance for this area to freeze. Popular mod with Vettes and other cars too.

Every intake I have ever changed to a performance intake gives you a bipass kit to do just that. You may feel a diff/ or you may not.

I found a conversion harness for 76mm to 90mm is anyone needs this:
(2005-06)

http://www.gmcopo.com/engineswap.htm

Conversion Harness Truck ETC 76mm to LS2/LS7 90mm Throttle Body
Part Number 1X327100
$69.95

This conversion harness allows the installation of the larger 90mm, four-bolt, Electronic Throttle Control LS2/LS7 CAR, four-bolt throttle body on 2000-02 5.3 and 6.0L engines and 2001-02 L18 8.1L engines that use a 76mm, three-bolt ETC throttle body. It is great for use with 2005-06 SSR and 2007 truck 90mm inlet manifold or supercharged applications. It also facilitates installation of LS2, L67, L92, and LS7 engines in the above vehicles. NOTE: This harness is not intended for use with truck 8-pin 90mm throttle body. It requires a passenger car LS2/LS7 90mm throttle body.
