I picked up some touch up paint yesterday. It is called Bermuda Blue. I own an Aqua Blur 05. Paint code is 26U. The parts guys showed me where the 26U code calls for Bermuda Blue to be the touch up paint. Color on bottle doesn't look right.
Anyone know if this is correct ? I picked up the GM Splash Guards and was going to paint the Chevy Emblem to match the truck..... don't like the white.

I know what you mean
the touch-up for Ultra Violet is called Radar Blue Metallic. Wierd huh? I questioned this at the parts deptment and they insisted it was right. I have used it and sure enough, it works. So, good luck with yours

Radar blue
Radar blue is the color that was first used on the 98 S10 trucks. I have had my truck hood repianted and the a pillar post twice by the dealer, and Radar Blue is what the color is called

Just think if all the Ultra-Violet SSRs where painted with the same paint code as the orginal prototype SSR was... and knowing that it was around $1,600.00 a gallon to paint it.... hmm I wonder how much would a touch up bottle be at that cost?

Very good. I like the pens better and the clearcoat makes it look much better. Of course a scratch is still a scratch, but at least it's covered and I'm the only one who sees it.

did they mail yours?
Just curious. When I ordered mine from the dealership parts department, it took a while to get because it had to travel by ground transport. Actually the first one blew up and I had to wait for a second.
MarcNY - I'm sure glad it wasn't that expensive. Come to think of it, I didn't pay for it. The selling dealership comp't it!
The Aqua Blur on an 05 is a color from "House of Colors" it was produced by Dupont. I recently had a deer take a close look at my front end and it had to be replaced and repainted. I would be very careful on the other paints since the shop that did my work had to call GM, then Dupont, then House of colors and coordinate between all of them to make sure the color formula was correct. I was also told that this collor has a very high level of mettalic in it (Far more than standard mettalic paint) so you might end up with sopts that dont shimmer like the rest.
I built a trailer from a ford ranger stepside pickup bed with an ARE bed cover and wanted to match my aqua blur SSR. Went to MAACO and they checked the paint code in the glove compartment of the SSR. 214m paint code was called GM 2005 Bermuda blue metallic. This was a base coat clear coat paint job on the trailer. I get alot of lookers as I pull it everyday. I think it turned out nice and this would be a good source for touch-up paint.
