Having been a "fulltimer" RVer in the past, I can reinforce "trailer".

With the SSR's low hood, you would destroy both the paint and the windshield very quickly towing at ground level, even if the drivetrain could take it (which it probably cannot).

Get a trailer with a rock shield across the front.

Bring a BIG credit card for the fule fillups on the towing vehicle whic I noticed you said was "gas", not diesel.

We currently are towing our 2004 SSR on the ground. We use a transmission pump. We have used this same system on several other cars. Wouldn't do it any other way. The trailer would be a hassle when you get there. We have a colgan bra that we put on for long hauls.

Wink Enclosed trailer

We have a 40' Diesel pusher which we pull a Jeep 4X4. Just a thought, but with what has happened to the front end of the Jeep and I have a rock shield and full bra. I wouldn't even think of towing our baby behind our coach, unless it was in a enclosed trailer. Just my 2 cents.

Good Luck.

I tried to start a new thread BUT

Does anyone know where I might Buy not rent a U-Haul Weekender Sport Trailor? If I can find one to buy I will paint it black to match my SSR. Would be great for small loads. Is there a website that sells it.
