Received following PM. I mailed repair kit the next morning.

SSR#10820
Boy do I love this site. I got home yesterday, talked to the wife, got back in my SSr to go get dinner and she wouldn't shift.

Checked out the forum, Found this post, got under the car and sure enough it's the shift cable link that broke.

I hope you still have kits available. If you do please pm me your paypal account and directions on how to complete the transaction.
Thanks,
Mike

If someone accidentlly moves the shift lever after it was put in Neutral and you have disconnected the cable at the start of the install, you will not be able depress the shift button.

However the shift arm is still in neutral, thus the interlock will not release the shift-nob. Can't press button down on shifter.

Remove shift lever, small torque screw on shift arm, faceing the dash.

Remove shift lever, now remove console cover with the switches, just pull up.

Using a flash light to look down into shift area, (Passenger Side)locate connector with wires and on that same level (toward the dash) you will see a small silver button, not easy to spot but it is there.

Press switch in with flat screw driver, push down shift button on shifter and you can now move out of Park.

Maybe a bungee cord on the stick, to prevent it moving while you work?

New pictures.

I am rewriting my instruction to give more clarity to the removal and install.

Sorry if it caused anyone problems.

Dicktator

1. OEM Assembly
2. Kit Assembly
3. Installing kit
4. Tighten assembly and back off one turn or until it moves easily
5. Done
