Talking Tuned by Corvettes of Westchester (Corvette Doctor)

My dad supabob has not been able 2 post so im helping him out... we live in hanalei, kauai and he loves driving his ssr and so do i... From Jim G book i was warned yet didnt listen and had this exact problem with a handheld microtuner from Diablo sport...

"It turns out that PCMs are rather sensitive. If a “read”, “edit”, or “write” microtuner or tuning software process with the PCM is interrupted by a loss of vehicle power, or an even minor change in onboard voltage or power drain, or a nearby electromagnetic field, your PCM can be completely “wiped”. That means a 100% lobotomy for your vehicle. I am not exaggerating. This is the manufacturers’ biggest fear because it is based on the reality that such wipes do occur." (Jim G)

... everything was gone and Chuck Mosello (CORVETTE DOCTOR, Corvettes of Westchester, 281 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. 10591, 914-332-0049 www.CORVETTES-OF-WESTCHESTER.com) hooked me up, he fixed it and it runs better than ever... much cooler, shifts better, and way more powerfull than the Diablo ever ran (when it worked)... i definitly recomend him, i am very satisfied. Thanks Chuck

I just spent a week on Kauai. Now I understand why I didn't see you. I drove all over the island and did not see one SSR. I was going to stop at MidPac Chevy and ask if they had ever sold one, but figured whoever I talked to wouldn't know.

P.S. If he didn't in his book, Jim G has warned against using a 160 degree thermostat on this forum. Can't remember why. Are your temps actually running at 160?
