Turn signals

Just got done with the towing of the UHaul trailer from Florida to the North Carolina mountains.

In the process, had to have a wiring harness installed to hook up to the trailer, that was done by clamping onto the wires for the two turn signals and the brakes.

Now that the trailer is returned to UHaul, I noticed that the left turn signal display on the dash flashes at one rate, while the right turn signal display on the dash flashes at twice that rate.

I don't recall this happening before the tow. Any ideas?

hopefully that would be the first and easiest.

It also could be an 'open' ground. Those U Haul tap connectors sometimes cut into not only the insulation, but cut the wire, too.

I'm not sure I understand your post, but the wiring harness already exists on the SSR, it was just taped up on the frame.
All you had to do was un tape and then hook up the plug and plug in trailer harness.

Regardless, it does sound like you have a turn signal bulb out.

I have a trailer connector on each of my other trucks and still have tofight to get any rental yard to use my adapters. They only know one way to hook up lights and it usually involves removing tail lights or cliping onto wires on the back of the fixture. They do not want to learn anything else.

Harness

Neither I nor the UHaul service guys at two different locations could find any sign of an existing harness.

I will check for bulbs.

It's there. Left side. Do a search here and there are probably pics or try these links.

Trailer wiring?

Towing Wiring Harness Location?

Also, if I remember this correctly, I believe this is also listed in the owner's manual...but I could be mistaken, been awhile since I read it.
