While Cruising around yesterday with the top down I was getting the ROOF AJAR message and dings.....then my windows wouldn't work.....radio volume lowered...

Big Jim,
That sucks! I hope that your blue baby will be operational by the end of the day and that you will be able to call in sick and drive her in the near 80 degree weather predicted for mid-week! Tell your boss that you have a slight vision problem---You just can't see coming to work when you could be driving topless!

Truthfully, I'm not feeling good - another sinus infection. Came back from a doctor visit about an hour ago with another prescription of anti-biotics.

However, some top-down sunny day driving might be just what the doctor should have ordered! Actually, I did take the SSR up there and back.

My BABE had the same problem, first they replaced the door module- then the header latch- but still got error codes. Finally they found a short in the right side electrical wiring, something I had repaired myself via info I got here. We finally decided that the wiring was too short, so they spliced in a little extra length.

Hopefully this will help you get your SSR back sooner than I did. Mine was in for a month, although it was Christmas and everyone was on vacation...

Jeff : I broke my own rule....don't ever make a post related to a part on the SSR with photo's I will post a photo later....But it's on the cover door that opens to let the top come out. There are several wires in a bundle attached to the bracket(Passenger side) and the wires had come out of it's holder and rubbed whenever the top is opened or closed so they made a repair to the wire and attached them back to the bracket and I will keep a close watch in the future.
