Used SSR

The wife has had the SSR bug ever since I bought mine so I just looked at a used 2004 SSR. It has 16,000 miles on it and has chrome wheels. Everything works. I drove it but I noticed while it was parked and running there seemed to be some noise coming from the oil pan area underneath. I'm not sure if it is the oil pump itself or some other issuse. Is this normal for the 5.3 litre motor??? A friend of mine who also has a 5.3 says his does the same thing.

Thanks for any info

I have a 5.3 and don't notice any noises coming from out of the oil pan area. However when I first start up my SSR I do get a couple of the baffles in the muffler that start to rattle for awhile a least until the engine has warmed up a bit. Maybe that is the noise you were hearing... just a thought.
