I have an 2004 , serial # 1GCES14PX4B105104 bought in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada but truck originally came from US. All gages are in miles per hour.Would appreciate some feed back on any information that is obtainable. Example: born on date, list of options, where it was originally sold from etc.
Thanks in advance, have no idea where to start looking from here.

I can have my friend at the Gm dealership run a complete GMVIS(GM Vehicle Inquiry System) report for the unit. Covers all info on the vehicle, warranty start dates, services done etc., etc, etc.....
OR if you go to the service desk of ANY GM dealer and talk nice (or better yet walk in with a few Tim Horton's donuts) they can spit out the 10 or so pages. Usually if it's not busy they'd be happy to. Sometimes they just require proof of ownership to the VIN. Just make sure you get them to print out ALL tabs (vehicle build, vehicle components, summary, delivery information, claim history, dealer info) at the top of the screen!!

Anywhere but Vista. If you on the south side of town I've heard good things about Henderson Chevy. Bill Heard is the next closest to my house. I've had my truck to them twice and thye've treated me fine. They have a service writer who does nothing but SSR and Vettes.
My SSR: 2003 Redline Red, Born 12/08/2003, Adopted 02/05/2007, #2497
I too am new to this forum. I purchased my 2003 Redline Red SSR with 1811 miles on February 5, 2007 from a dealer in Indiana that had it in storage or on display since April 2004. I was also trying to get the born on date and build information for my VIN# 1GCES14P93B102497. The 105 mile drive home was great, but at -2 degrees, I opted to keep the top up. Parked it in my garage until the weather breaks here in Chicago.

Just read post #3, any dealer's service department has access and should do it for you if you ask nicely!

Click their name in their post and it will bring up a pop-up. The second item down is "Send a Private Message to <name>"...click on that.
(So in my case you'd click on WOW_FCTR just above Highest mileage and Supporting Member)
