Voltmeter Clibration

Have a 2005 6-speed with the Auxillary Gage package.

Nice but not really functional except for the Voltmeter.

Being a professional Pilot I do watch the gages and this Voltmeter is out of calibration to the HIGH SIDE ... showing 16 volts when it is actually 14.3 to 14.4, I have checked it with several meters.

Is there a calibration solution?

Kruser

The gauge you are looking at does not connect directly to the bus. It's a stepper motor that is driven (digitally) by the computer. It is "supposed" to represent the bus voltage at the computer, but is really just a "gee whiz" indicator. No, there is not a calibration point. The OAT and torque indicators are the same....... digitally driven and not intended for accuracy.

Voltmeter

I've connected a professional scan tool to the OBD port of my SSR and observed the voltage to be different from the gauge reading by 1-2 volts. I'd believe the scan tool since it is a direct reading, not a generated reading as noted by Mike.
