Al tell them to try changing out the ignition switch it's cheap and it's at the root of lots of electrical problems

It usually means you have lost the ABS function. You still have good brakes but if you hit them hard on wet pavement instead of not locking up, they will and the vehicle will slide and you do not have a lot of control until you let off the brake. Could be one of the four wheel brake sensors or the most expensive is the anti-lock module. I have only had one fail but it was on a Buick and it was arround $800.
You can also test it on dry pavement by slamming on the brake to see if they lock up and slide. If it is working they won't slide and you will hear and feel the brake pedal chatter as it keeps them from locking up. Good luck.

Q)is this a big job?
A) My experience we have to check brake system for proper operation and condition. Next we install your Master Tech scan tool. Then test what is causing light to be activated. Sometimes everything test normal and have to drive vehicle to find problem or problems. Sometimes we ask customers to drive vehicle and log on what they were doing when system malfunction. Sometimes fix one thing and something else trigers malfunction. Sometimes after drinking several bottles of Jack Daniels wash vehicle and hope for not having a problem again or having a headache.

Q) is the part hard to find?

A) The part for having a headache no but I wish I could send it back as defective Some parts are on back order and have a waiting list. Best to talk to Dealership on what is going on with vehicle. Remember he or she who isn't very nice gets long wait on waiting list..

Have a nice holiday and a Great New Year

Robert
