When you close the Top!!!

When closing the top, I have noticed that mine lines up good with the header, and as the pins go into the holes, the top will shift to the right, (very slightly) and then secure. Has anyone else ever taken notice of how their top closes?
I would imagine that is is some degree of movement allowed with this procedure.
Thanks for any info.......................................................................Tom

Yes, mine does this also. Shortly after I bought mine, I noticed a tear in the weatherstrip on the windshield header on the passenger side. Looked at the top, and the alignment pin (for lack of a better name) was bent. Obviously had got in a bind at some point (before I bought it). Bent it back into position (using opposite side as a guide) and it closes properly, hasn't torn any further, but I keep an eye on it. Just in case.

Appreciate the reply, my weatherstrip is fine, no tears, just concerned about the slight movement when engaging. It may be that most of them do it...........
