Wind and rattle? Yall got a fix?

My 06 SSR has no squeaks and rattles until you open the driver window 100% and over 50mph.

Now if the window is partially open or at 100% open with passenger window open, no rattle.

The source seems to be centered on the lower part of the top, like maybe some of the trim but I just can't seem to find it.

Yall got a fix?

When the driver window is down, crack the pass window - roll it down a little.

Try this

When you open just one window, the volume of air entering will reate a lot of buffeting and cause your rattle. Open you passenger window 10% will allow the pressure to escape and should stop your rattle.

I read this in another post and was how I solved the same problem. Search "rattle" and you'll find lot of posts!

If I was younger I would have remembered I had to do the same thing in my Porsche.

Rattle

You cannot open the driver side window by itself.....the rattling you hear is your brain from the buffeting wind! Just crack the passenger window a tad and it will stop.

Driver Side Wind Noise...

I've always had what I think is excessive wind noise on the driver side... does not seem to be as bad on the passenger side, although I must admit I've only been in the passenger seat one time

Just had the rubber seals replaced this week as I had a pretty extensive leak on the drivers side where the two top places interlock. If you look on the outside of the rod, it's where that larger flap of rubber overlaps the forward top section. Now the wind noise seems worse than before I took it in to get the seals replaced. I'm waiting for a few weeks so that the seal will seat itself a little better as it comes rolled up and when they install it, it still has some memory left in it. Don't know if one of the SSR Tecs can tell us if there is much adjustment that can be made to the top to try to eliminate this. I've complained before, and the dealer service folks said they adjusted the linkage, but it has not seemed to get too much better. The good news is that I don't hear that wind noise at all when topless

Drive side noise.........

That loud noise you hear is the traffic cop trying to get off your running board at about 60 MPH

One other cause, the catch on the passenger seat belt will rattle against the holdback if the belt gets turned around!!!!!! (Clear as MUD???)

Try applying dielectric grease to all the rubber seals. It helps.
