windows and roof won't go up or down

It started with a bell and msg that roof was ajar. rear lid was open so I closed it but I continued to get the bell and msg. Windows on each side drop 1/2 inch when I open the door as normal, but won't go up. I think the top is all the way up but it also won't move.

You may want to check fuses/relays in the fuse panel behind passengers seat. There are two 30 amp on the 03/04 marked "up" and one marked "Down". Located top left.

On the 05/06 they are small silver colored fuses/relay.

Remove round slotted cover, located center above rear mirror, insert roof tool, push up to engage tool and turn. Lock and unlock may reset the momentary switch.

Is motor/hydraulic pump running??

Check latch switches. See Pictures.

Good Luck.

Pictures
1. These are the Latching/switch assemblies located in roof compartment. One each side.
2. Four 10mm bolts hold them on.
3. Remove four bolts, do not disturb wiring, check mirco switch to see if it is "Stuck". The 03/04 is 10amp micro switch and are prone to sticking. Clean and dry them throughly.
4. The 05/06 micro switch is much better protected from the moisture and dirt. You can check it to see if it is stuck.
5. The 05/06 micro switch is held with small Phillips screw. Screw has to be removed to inspect.

Something else you can check, wiring on the cover.

We have found a lot of R's with wiring chaffed. Can cause a fault on top operation.

3. Remove from clip
4. Butt connectors if needed
5. Re-tape and but back in clip
