My Wife purchased a AudioVox XM Satellite Radio Receiver.
It was ordered with a special Patch Cable specifically for the Bose Radio w/6 CD Changer.
I opened the Box and found a Patch Jumper, but it was for the wrong Vehicle/Vessel.
The Wife asked for a Patch Cable for a Bose Radio.
But what we got was a Boat Radio Patch through Cable.
To make a long story short I got the same sale person on the phone and I was told they don't have a Patch Cable for a Bose Radio.
So I looked on line for a couple of days and I found one from PAC P/N AAIGM24. If this works I will let you know. I think it will be compatible with the Serial Data Bus.
IF you have already done this successfully let me know what you used and maybe we can get it in to the Forum Library.
I want the best I can find so hopefully some of you have some good solutions.

Is this for a permanent installation, Moody?
With the set-up in DOOPHUS there is a small black tuner box (Sirius, not XM) about the size of a paperback book concealed behind the Bose unit up under the dash. If that's what you're looking for, let me know and I'll dig out the paperwork for more information.

Does any of this make sense?
Curt
Sure they work the same, but I wanted to maintain the Serial Data Bus and the Four Channel inputs. So all the speakers work not just the Front or Back.

Ok. I have purchased a Sirius Radio Home/Auto combo unit from Costco.
Probably the same as yours. I will later install this Receiver in my 40,D Ford PU. But I can look at this one and pretty much visualize your install, from a Stereo place. By the way I haven't heard from Sterio Steve in quite a while.
Did Steve install you Sirius Receiver ?
I guess I'm assuming too much here as you may not be familiar with Steve but he has a Sales and service Business some where near where Doug Allen Resides.

No, Moody . . . not even close.
A good buddy who is also an auto stereo nut installed mine shortly after DOOPHUS arrived home three years ago.
The Sirius Tuner is just a little black box (paperback book size) with power and antenna plugs plus a funny cable for direct connection to the Bose unit. The tuner plus the antenna are both hidden up under the dash close to the firewall. The system works exactly as if it were either an XM or Sirius Factory Unit with full display and steering wheel controls.
The only reason I am able to remember the Sirius Tuner so well is I have the same set-up in the Jeep and the tuner is visible because of the limited space behind the dash.

After three plus years still works like a champ.
Any clearer now?

Ok so dig out the info on the Patch Cable/Jumper and that way I will have a Brand name and P/N to verify and possibly purchase the same Cable that you did.

All of the cables and the antenna were included with the Sirius Tuner, Moody.

Thanks Hoggy Doggy I got the info I needed. I knew there was a thread about the XM and Sirius. One of my real good Buddys found it for me.
ZsSSR was the man that came to the rescue.
What model or type of Sirius radio did you get and install in your SSR? We want to install a unit in our SSR and have heard all these horror stories about the installation with the dash removal and problems. Appreciate any data or information to this. Can't find the thread that talks about the instructions and pictures.
Regards,
Curt Larson

Sorry, cdrumbleseat, since nothing is visible I need to rely on my memory and a few three year old booklets so here goes . . .
There is a conversion module by Soundgate (model KNGM1V7) and a SIRIUS Satellite Tuner by Kenwood (model KTC-SR902) designed specifically for GM OEM Radios plus a SIRIUS Satellite Radio Antenna. Cost for these items was about 150 bucks back in August of 2005.
Although I was only "supervising" the installation, once the dash was removed, the installation seemed to be a "piece of cake" since all of the components were designed to work together. Total time involved was about 4 or 5 hours mainly due to the dash removal and reinstall.
