You know your exhaust might be a LITTLE loud when . . .

You know your exhaust might be a little loud when . . .

- You are getting your tires aligned, and someone starts up a really loud vehicle in the shop, and you go to see what sounds that loud, and you realize it's YOUR vehicle

- Your wfe won't drive your SSR because she says it scares her

- Your visiting sister-in-law, who drove your Z06 Corvette eagerly, won't drive the SSR because she says it scares her

- Your college-age son doesn't like to ride in it as a passenger because it "attracts too much attention"

- Every car nut you encounter says "Boy that sounds good" when you start it up

- Every normal person you encounter says "Boy that sounds tough" when you start it up

- Dogs chasing the vehicle run away and hide when you hit the throttle

- BMW drivers change to the lane furthest from you

- The dyno shop refuses to schedule on-the-way-to-work early morning dyno runs because "That vehicle is so loud it will piss off the neighbors"

Is my hearing THAT impaired?

That's fun!

I know my Z06 is too loud because my husband (who likes loud!) keeps telling me I need to order a cabin-soundproofer-thingy. I refuse!

When your boss tells you he knows you're on the way because he can hear your car coming all the way from the Expressway (unfortunately this calls attention to the fact that I am late every day!).

COOLSSR: I am running Dynatech Supermaxx headers into dual exhaust, each pipe having its own Dynatech small, straight through muffler.

Sounds really good, and provides very improved (dyno proven) power. See my earlier posts by using the search key "Dual shotgun exhaust".

I am also using Dynatech Supermaxx headers with hi-flow cats and a Flowmaster SSR cat back(Drag strip proven) power, You don't start the truck with someone you know beside or behind the truck unless you don't like them, You don't talk in the truck untill the engine is warm and up to speed, You don't need a radio

Your volume beats mine by a long shot then! Mine is rather quiet until hit the gas pedal or unless you are just starting it up.

A little loud when....You can't hear the police siren on the cop car trying to pull you over. Hey, it can't be as bad as my Harley VROD with the Screaming Eagle exhaust. Once each year we have a charity ride that starts at midnight and I get home about 3:00am. I shut it in the street and coast up the driveway so I don't upset my next door neighbor!!! (She is a flower nut who has never owned anything buy a Honda Civic and just doesn't get me being Car Crazy.)

You know my 1973 VW with dual webers and full extractor header + stinger (no baffle) can also set off every car alarm at the airport. Harley riders turn away from my pearl yellow bug. I think its must be a German thing

Ain't that the truth, Save the hearing you have, How does that go you don't know what you got till you lose it, Me and some others were doing our job, We called in a air strike, 500 pounders and they droped there load short, Right on top of us, Enough said
