From a thought to organize to todays reality Penticton
Hey Sue & Bill(Willie) who would have ever imagined that two short years ago when
I posted an inquire on the fanatic site, as to SSR's owners in the Pacific Northwest Seattle area etc.asking, let's get together,I see regions from all over the country having these SSR runs,it looks like fun.....Bingo up pop's Tickledpink, saying yes, that's a great idea etc...........and soon, low and behold Bill(Willie) comes on and says
yeah I am in and after a few suggestions,Bill being a past Commodore of the Tacoma Yacht Club suggests the Yacht Club and bingo from a single thought
from our first wonderful Pacifc NW Event to our fantastic international SSR Event this June in Penticton,Bc! WOW is that not amazing what has happened?!
All the wonderful new friends that now have become family to our Pacific NW SSR Fanatic group and we hopefully will continue to grow thanks to all the people who have contributed to our success and pure SSR pleasure!
As the weather outside howls due to the nasty rain and wind my thoughts want to turn to warmer days and SSR happy times and great fanatic company sharing our common passion...our SSR's and fanatic friends! Thanks to all ssr fanatics that attend these great events!!
My SSR: Silver with Pink Ghost Flames, Pink Lettering & Flares with PINK Bow Ties on Rims!

Unfortunetly yes, especially our weather this year, windy as hell and cold, weird!
Oh well, spring is coming........isn't it! Love your Guy's travel log of pictures!
What a fantastic trip you guys had....but instead of satisfying your need to drive your purple truck,I think it makes you want to do it more, kinda like good sex! I am just recalling my deep past..good golly I need to get out of this office and go mail Mikes Insert to him...later!

Hal-
I know life is tough in "Poor Tortured"; Kingston (Hooterville by the Sea) is no picnic either this time of year. I can't remember a winter so windy, might be time to move to the topless part of the country...

Hey Scott: Believe me we have thought of that more than once already,Toni won't leave now, especially with our new grandson,he's too new! When I read threads of our fanatic friends down in the warmer states, are there still any?;I think of how nice it would be to be there this time of the year etc! Oh well......then summer comes and I remember why I love our beautiful state
so much, geographically speaking! Think Penticton, are you smiling yet!

We need to count our blessings for living in the great Northwest !!
I am getting together with a new NW SSR recruit who is relocating here to Bellevue from Dallas. While he has had to maneuver through snow, ice, and rain while he's been here in training, he tells me that Dallas gets so hot from June on, one cannot go topless at all !! Even walking the dog is difficult because the sidewalks get so hot!!! We have GOOD, clean air and water, that's for sure!!!
Phoenix had 3 plus inches of rain the day Paul (fourhounds) followed by Doris (Mrsfourhounds) drove me from Laughlin back to Phoenix! The SSRs just hugged the road, even at some very (gulp) high speeds!!!
Penticton will be just around the corner !!

What?!? Our Paul driving at very high speed? Say it isn't so!! None of the Phoenix Phanatics have ever seen this happen.

I had PINK DUCT TAPE across my mouth.......
so I wouldn't Back Seat Drive !!!!
Actually the scariest part of the entire adventure was the Aquarius parking garage with wires for walls instead of concrete !!!

I packed SMALL for me : )
coming home, I will admit to needing (and borrowing) another suitcase !~! the PINK Sombrero had to be carried on the plane - tried wearing it but it wouldn't go through the Alaska Airlines skinny door !!!
I loved being with all the other SSR Nuts !! It was a great pleasure to be able to participate and live beyond that parking garage thrill ride !

Canadian Border Crossing........
I seriously recommend bringing your Passport with you to make the crossing smoother. I also recommend you fill up on the US side before going across to Canada - (I didn't )
We will be sending more information out to all of you as we get our planning finished and can have a detailed Agenda for each truck !!

Even if you don't need your passport to get into Canada, you'll for sure need it on your return to the States.
Fill up with fuel in the States and wine in Canada And Sue, no need to fill up your truck with all those little gifts right - been there, done that!! You can sit down, relax, and enjoy your dinner at Zia's this time around
